Aldrew Pace Scholarship Information

During the annual Laymen Auxiliary session held in Fort Smith in 2015, the laymen voted to name the scholarship offered to the Young Men of the convention after President Emeritus Aldrew Pace. Brother Pace served the convention as Laymen president for many years, coordinating the activities of the constituent district Laymen Auxiliaries and representing the Regular Arkansas Missionary Baptist  Convention Laymen's Department at the National Baptist Convention, USA, Incorporated meetings.

The Laymen Auxiliary is offering a scholarship for young men belonging to the convention and who are active in their local church and district.  This scholarship is available for those young men who will be attending a Four (4) Year University or College, a Community College, a Technical School, or any other form of post high school studies during the 2015-2016 school year.

The criteria for receiving this scholarship is included with the application, which must be filled out completely before the application can be accepted. If the recipient of this scholarship is receiving another scholarship from the Regular Arkansas Missionary Baptist Convention or a full scholarship from another organization or school, they are not eligible to receive this award. We want to help as many students as we can by not duplicating scholarship recipients.

The deadline for submission of applications is May 30, 2015. No applications will be accepted after this date so we encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to get the application, get it filled out, and return it to the scholarship committee.
