Coronavirus/COVID-19

Greetings in name of Jesus Christ!

I am writing in regard to the Coronavirus (COVID 19).  We are asking all constituents to be in prayer for those who have been exposed to and/or tested positive to the Coronavirus. We are praying for a swift cure.  The virus is thought to be airborne, allowing it to easily transmitted from person to person.  As of Wednesday, March 17, health authorities have asked that we avoid gathering in groups of more than 10 and to stay 3 feet apart.  We’ve also been asked to wash our hands often with soap and water, cough and sneeze into our elbows, and avoid touching our faces, especially before washing our hands to minimize the spread of virus infection.  I know that we all are concerned about the safety of our membership.

We are asking all constituents to follow the guidelines that have been set forth in preventing the spread of COVID 19.  We might have to make some adjustments in convention programming and cancellation notices will be sent from the Communications Office as they become available. I am asking our convention to continue to trust God for deliverance through this crisis.  God encourages us to “cast all of our cares on Him, for He careth for you” (I Peter 5:7).

We thank Sis. Cynthia Bullard and her staff for working with our young people to help in their educational development while they are out of school.  Please refer to the RABC website,
www.reg-arbaptist.org, to access available websites that are free to use.  Those who plan to worship on Sunday morning are being asked to make sure their building is sanitized, as well as continue to adhere to the recommended social distancing guidelines, such as no handshaking, hugging, or kissing on cheeks, along with other recommendations provided in this letter. We need to do all we can to ward off further spread of the virus should and keep it from infiltrating our local assemblies.  Please let me know if there is anything we can do for you during this challenging time.  I have confidence that God is going to get us through this.

I would ask that each church create and publish among your congregants/on your websites your individual strategy to quell the spread of the coronavirus as you continue to reach the masses for Christ.

Yours by the ties of Calvary
